National AIPP APPA Awards

I would like to announce I am the proud owner of 2 Silver Distinction Awards from the National AIPP. I was so nervous that when my print case arrived today, I had to let my husband open it. I still can't believe it, 2 Silver Distinctions. I thought to myself if I could come away with 1 silver i would be very happy.

I also attended the APPA "wrap up" party at the Woolshed in Darling Harbour, what a night. I met many wonderful photographers including Pippin, Ray Schembri, Mercury and many more, as well as got to say hi again to Jess and Ryan Schembri (now hitched).

A big thankyou to my great friend Tony for taking me to this wonderful networking event and for always ensuring I had a drink in my hand!

2009 Panthers Bridal Expo

The weekend of the 20 & 21st June was a busy one for me. I was part of the Panthers Bridal Expo at Penrith Panthers. It was my first expo and other than being extremely nervous I was also very excited.

The weekend went off without any major dramas. I received loads of positive feedback and also got 4 bookings during the expo as well.

I enjoyed every moment of it although it was utterly exhausting. Here are some photos.

What are little girls made of?

Sugar and spice and all things nice, that's what little girls are made of! Meet, Breeana, Ashlee and Jasmine! Aren't they just cuties?

Chontelle & Lee - My latest wedding

Ok, I've been a bit tardy updating Chontelle & Lee's wedding. It was absolutely stunning, with the most beautiful dresses I've ever seen. The ceremony was held at Handprint's little chapel in Narellen and then the reception at the gorgeous Sebel in Windsor.

I hope you love the photos as much as I do!

Nat!

3 Silver NSW APPA Awards for me!!!

Just a quick note to let you know that I've just won 3 Silver NSW APPA Awards last Sunday which is quite exciting. These are my first APPA awards and I was extremely excited to find out that I had received them. The National awards are coming up in a month and knowing I have won 3 State awards give me hope that I could potentially walk away from the Nationals with maybe an award also.

Natalie Howe Photography as gone FULL TIME!

Yup, that's right, Monday just gone I lauched my business full time. Leaving PwC was not an easy decision after 16 years of employment, but I knew to make my dream really come true, I had to take the plunge and let go of the safety rail. Will I fall? Who knows, but my first week started off with a whooping 9 shoots. I can only be happy with that. I know there will be quite times, and as long as I'm prepared for them, then I think I will be fine. I have a lot of worked lined up in the next few months followed by a good well deserved break (unless the phone starts ringing!).

I am looking forward to this new chapter in my life, it's a dream come true for me to be able to do something I am so passionate about as a job. "Job?" nah.... doesn't feel like it. I enjoy myself every day (well.... not on the days the computer is in a bad mood!) And as long as I enjoy it, I'll keep doing it.

Thanks for all your support and wishes during this huge transition, and make sure, if you want a photographic job done, give me a call!

Signing off.

Nat : )

Well, haven't I been a busy bee!!

ANGELA & PHILIP - 18 APRIL 2009

The most recent wedding I shot was last weekend. Angela just made and absolutely adorable bride. We had a lot of fun shooting. The ceremony was held at the famous St James Anglican Church at Pitt Town followed by photos at Parramatta Park and then The Crown Plaza for the Reception.

JENNIFER & BENJAMIN - 11 April 2009

Every couple I photograph are deeply in love, of course they would be, otherwise they wouldn't commit to each other, but every now and then I come across a couple that are so in love that they want to shout it from the roof tops and they want the whole world to know.

Meet Jen & Ben. They couldn't keep their eyes off each other all day and were both a dream in front of the camera. A huge bridal party with 5 attendees on each side only added to the joy of their special day. I bet my personal best this wedding, with a whooping 2246 images taken, so cutting it down to a few for you to all see was a huge challenge. Ceremony, photos and reception was at the stunning Loxley on Bellbird.
The below shots are a mere snapshot of what was taken on the day. I think they are stunning! (even if I do say so myself : ) )

REBECCA & ALAN - 4 APRIL 2009
Well this was just the cutiest thing! A living breathing "Brady Bunch". Both Rebecca and Alan had 2 adorable children each (Isaac and Candice were Rebecca's and Liam and Aidan was Alan's). Together, they have a huge instant family and poor Candice ends up with 3 brothers! At least she won't get bullied at school. Absolutely beautiful wedding, smiles and laughs all around, and the children had a ball! Thank you so much fow allowing me to be part of your special day!
Ceremony and photos were at The Old Farm, Winmalee and the reception was at the Paceway - Penrith (best reception food I have ever had!)

KIMBERLY & BEN - 28 March 2009

Below are some of the images from Kimberly & Ben's wedding. The ceremony was held at the gorgeous Anglican Church in Springwood with the reception at Oakville House. Gorgeous wedding and adorable couple! Congratulations!
