AIPP NSW Outstanding Porfolio for 2008

Ok, well the 3rd annual awards was last night, and although these awards are only new, there was still quite a few entries which was good to see.

The works submitted were amazing. 3 awards were given for "commended" porfolios. Then the runner up for the AIPP NSW Outstanding Porfolio for 2008 was announced, I heard them say Natalie Howe, but it didn't really register until they looked at me. OH WOW!! I won AIPP NSW Outstanding Portfolio for 2008 - runner up. I was very excited. Brauckmann Photography took out the major award, Sandra's work can be found here at www.brauckmann.com.au.

Well, I'm on cloud nine at the moment, these awards are judged by major photographers in our industry, so to win an award is very special.

Meet Chloe, Beth and Emily!

These 3 little dolls were so much fun to photograph! Chloe the oldest was just an amazing little poser and Beth, well, I just got the cutiest and cheekiest smiles off her! Emily didn't really want to play, but after 2 tired parents and 1 tired photographer we were still able to get a few good shots.

These two little cherubs are my neighbours girls. Aren't they gorgeous! They posed and pouted and had a blast in front of the camera, so I thought I'd share a few of my favs. It was hard to choose! Look at the attitude - born models.

International Aperture Awards Update

Ok, just flicking through the awards photos when I was gobsmacked at what I just saw! Not only did I win 3 prestigious awards, but I just noticed one of my prints made the top 50 wedding prints for 2009. I couldn't believe it!

Check it out! I'm number 50, so that just made my day! Out of the thousands of prints that were judged, I was lucky enough for one of my wedding prints to be in the top 50 best prints!

New Portrait Prices for 2009

I've just updated my website with my new portrait pricing for 2009. It is simple and streamlined, no packages no gimmicks. Sitting fee is $180 and includes $100 worth of prints of your choice. Prints start at $15 and Storyboards start at $110. Additional prints can be purchased from the al a carte price list.

Please ensure you take a peak at the new prices, I still offer the referral rewards and also the free print as an incentive to order on time.

Are you serious, Christmas is next week?

OMG what has happened to the year, I am still getting bookings, someone asked for a shoot next week, next week starts with the 22nd of December! I couldn't believe it when I looked at my diary, I'll be busy cooking ginger bread cookies and trying to find room in my tiny fridge and freezer for 3 days worth of entertaining. I am on strike, no more shoots for me until mid January!

This year has brought about a lot of changes, my business has grown extensively, I now have an assistant, I've finished Tafe, became an award winning photographer and bought a puppy!

I wish all my clients a wonderful and safe Christmas and New Year, enjoy your time with your loved ones and make sure you relax, put your feet up and have fun spending hours pulling the kids toys out of the boxes they come in - they always seem like they are adult proof!

Highlights

Today I had the opportunity to do a shoot for a very close friend of mine, Tara. She is the manager of Highlights in Penrith and was given the task of finding a photographer to photograph her boss Ben for a magazine. Ok, so at the 11th hour, she gave me a call and I squeezed the shoot in today. It was a great opportunity to do something a little different and the payment was PERFECT! A brand new ghd for me.......yipppeeee.
